The Summa Health System Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program Receives Accreditation
This program offers the geriatric fellow a unique opportunity to serve as a Geriatric Medicine specialist within a community hospital environment and organized health care delivery system. The fellowship curriculum is designed to train and enable physicians to assume positions of leadership in the field of Geriatric Medicine as clinicians, educators and administrators in a variety of health care systems. The rotations provide broad experiences in clinical settings and extensive exposure to community based services. It is expected that the Geriatric Medicine fellows will assume a “junior faculty” role in these rotations and will be directly involved in teaching medical students, residents and allied health professionals throughout their training.
